best fried chicken in town

D and I love to eat out. In fact, it may very well be our biggest expense every month. But with my job situation on rocky ground and a wedding to save up for, we have to tighten our belts and start pinching pennies. Nonetheless, we definitely don't want our love for good eats be compromised by our stringent budget. So, D and I have made it a point to have awesome cheap dates. After all, we are not as fancy as one would think and actually have more fun in exploring more adventurous options. We take pride in finding cool places that offer excellent food at reasonable prices.

This is the first of the many entries about our awesome cheap dates.

For the past few weeks, we've been frequenting a local restaurant which we believe has the (hands down) best fried chicken in town, Soi Polo Fried Chicken.

What's the secret? I strongly believe it's the crunchy bits of fried garlic sprinkled on top.

This is my all-time favorite Thai dish.

Larb Kai or Minced Chicken with Chili and Basil

Downright comfort food. It is good for the soul.
