well, hello again.

I woke up early today and just felt the urge to write. I don't really have anything particular in mind but thought that I should really write more or at the very least, make an effort to do so. Unfortunately, these days I'm more keen on posting short mental farts down on twitter - which I have recently protected by the way, in fear of those weirdos with fake accounts that keep following me.

So yes, this is me making an effort to write. What have I been up to lately, you ask?

Well.

For starters, there's work - which has been keeping me busy most of the time. As you know, it's a start up so it's tough as every day can make or break you. I'm hoping that things pick up and we get the benjamins rollin'.

Then there's my new workout routine. As part of my new year's resolution, I've committed myself to a grueling work out routine. 30-minute cardio. Weight training. 5 days a week. My goal is to lose the 10 lbs I gained last year. Now, I've only been doing it for a little over a month. I'm not sure if I'm seeing the results yet. Sadly, I'm still 110 lbs. But as D would say, it's not the weight but the inches that count. No rush. I have a whole year to lose 10 lbs. I mean c'mon, how hard could that be?

But I've already noticed a change in attitude in me. I don't dread the workout so much now. Believe it or not, I look forward to sweating it out on the treadmill, lifting weights, and feeling all the body aches. These days, I get a kick out of being sweaty and sore all over. (Although today I woke up not so happy with the aches that dumbbell lunges caused)

Sadly, my eating habits has only seen a slight improvement. I still fall victim to unhealthy food - the occasional grease binge that comes in the form of a beautifully assembled burger or the thin crispy goodness of a double cheese pizza or that warm fuzzy feeling that Mexican food brings. I'll always be a sucker for fatty food.

But like I said, it is all but occasional. Most of the time, I'm a good girl munching on fruits, downing yogurt, opting for soy rather than whole milk, and choosing fish over meat. I've also summoned enough courage to say a big fat NO to my sweet tooth urges. Goodbye chocolate mint gelatos, Almond Magnum bars, jelly popsicles, Kitkat bars, Coffee Bean by Dao's white chocolate cheesecake, Slurpees, and even sucking on Chupa Chups lollies.

I've also been drawn to this, this, and this. Oh and this. Now if these don't give you a hint of things to come, I don't know what will. We're not ready to make a formal announcement yet but yes, we are. I'm so excited
and I just can't hide it (I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!).

Whee!! I think it's best to leave you guys on a high note. We'll definitely keep you posted.
